As a 1st Line Monitoring Engineer you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of their systems by monitoring alerts and responding to incidents promptly. You will be responsible for investigating and troubleshooting any issues identified, documenting incidents and responses, and collaborating with their teams to ensure efficient resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor systems and networks for alerts and incidents.
- Respond to alerts and incidents promptly, following established procedures and protocols.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Document incidents, including their causes, resolution steps, and any follow-up actions taken.
- Collaborate with other teams, including the 2nd Line Support and Engineering teams, to escalate and resolve issues efficiently.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on new technologies and best practices.
- Contribute to the improvement of monitoring processes and tools.
Requirements:
- Previous IT experience, preferably in a monitoring or support role.
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft) or a degree in a related field are preferred.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools and systems (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds) is a plus.
Location: Fully remote
Duration: 3 Months Rolling Contract
Day Rate: £115 - £130 per day
