This role is a key part of the organization’s digital strategy, contributing to one of the world's most ambitious and advanced projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the technological foundation and aligning it with the organization's strategic goals.

This position involves establishing architectural principles, standards, and reference architectures while collaborating with various teams and departments. The goal is to define and standardize the Campus network architecture within a unified digital landscape, ensuring the consistent use of tools, services, products, and processes.

The Enterprise LAN and WAN Network Architect will engage with multiple vendors and internal stakeholders, driving towards a sustainable digital ecosystem supported by robust governance and control mechanisms. This role is offered as a 12-month contract with travel support provided.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the target architecture for the organization’s Campus Network environment, unifying diverse deployments into a standardized landscape with a consistent set of services and components.
  • Contribute to technology selection processes and solution architecture designs.
  • Document and analyze the current IT landscape, including applications, integrations, information architecture, business capabilities, processes, and technologies.
  • Evaluate architectural designs to enhance solution delivery, supporting new or redefined value propositions and products.
  • Balance enterprise risk and agility, ensuring alignment with the organization's global security standards.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Expertise in Enterprise LAN and WAN networks
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust security models and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE)
  • Proficiency in Passive and Active Network components
  • Familiarity with L2 and L3 protocols, IP routing, and switching
  • Understanding of GPON and Enterprise GPON technologies, including Fiber to the Room and Fiber to the "Anything" (FTTx)
  • Experience in Data Center Network Design, particularly with Cisco ACI
  • Familiarity with Software-Defined Access (SDA) and Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN)
  • Wi-Fi networking knowledge
  • Proficiency in network security, including Network Access Control (NAC)
  • Experience with firewalls, proxies, DNS, DHCP, and IPSEC
  • Expertise in Cisco technologies, with additional experience in Huawei and HPE/Aruba solutions
  • CCIE / CCDE certification or equivalent qualifications
