We are seeking a Senior Communications Systems Engineer to join our clients team and provide expert consultancy and technical guidance in the design and implementation of communication systems.
You will work closely with clients to ensure the smooth planning, design, and deployment of communication networks, from initial concept through detailed execution. Your role will involve developing comprehensive design documentation, testing procedures, and ensuring all projects meet industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain telecommunications design, commissioning, handover, and maintenance standards in line with customer asset strategies.
• Create detailed telecommunications scopes and specifications tailored to customer needs.
• Conduct site and surveillance audits, perform design reviews, and assess network integration feasibility.
• Lead technical investigations for network commissioning issues and update telecommunications network records throughout project lifecycles.
• Ensure adherence to formal handover procedures for telecommunications equipment.
• Support compliance with industry safety, reliability, and cyber security standards.
• Provide expert consultancy services, offering guidance and recommendations on communication network design and deployment.
Skills and Experience:
• Over 5 years of experience in designing and installing systems involving Microwave Radio, Fibre optics, and MPLS architectures.
• Understanding of related communications technologies, including TDM (PDH/SDH) networks.
• Basic knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting IP Networking (switching and routing).
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working independently or leading a team.
• Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to manage technical engineering tasks with minimal supervision.
Salary:
