As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting various technical and business teams in their day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will include identifying, prioritizing, and resolving high-level incidents and requests to enhance service quality and prevent future problems. You'll be instrumental in gathering, analyzing, designing, and implementing solutions aligned with business requirements. Additionally, participation in off-hours, weekends, and holidays for on-call support is required.


  • Work closely and support other technical and business teams for their day-to-day requirements.
  • Identify, prioritize, and resolve high-level incidents and requests to enhance service quality and prevent future problems.
  • Gather, analyze, design, and implement solutions as per business requirements.
  • Participate in off-hours, weekends, and holidays on-call support as required.


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in architecting, implementing, and supporting a reliable and scalable infrastructure.
  • Understanding of engineering and supporting Windows Server OS (2012/2016/2019), Active Directory, SCCM, DFS, DNS, DHCP, etc.
  • Experience and knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware ESXi, vCenter server, Hyper-V, etc.) and application virtualization (Citrix XenDesktop, Citrix DaaS, App Layering).
  • Knowledge of IT security and vulnerability/threat management systems (e.g., Qualys).
  • Strong scripting abilities using PowerShell or Python.
  • Understanding of networking concepts and experience with network tools (e.g., NetMon, Wireshark).
  • Experience in MDM solutions (e.g., VMware Workspace ONE, Jamf) for managing Windows and Apple devices.
  • Knowledge of storage technologies (e.g., SAN, NAS, iSCS) with specific product knowledge on EMC Unity, NetApp FAS, etc.
  • Experience with physical installation (e.g., racking and configuring servers).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create documentation at a high level.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Linux, particularly with Windows-Linux interaction (e.g., NX Client, NFS, LDAP).
  • Experience with managing Wi-Fi devices (e.g., Arista, Aruba).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products, open-source software running on Linux, and third-party software and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

  • CAD $130k Base + $40k bonus (discretionary).
