Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and operate IP/MPLS-based service provider networks across multiple sites and platforms.
- Configure and maintain L3VPN environments, including route reflectors, VRFs, and BGP peering.
- Lead IPv6 rollout strategies, including dual-stack implementations and transition technologies.
- Perform capacity planning, performance optimization, and fault resolution on backbone infrastructure.
- Provide L2/L3 support in complex network incidents and changes, with a focus on high availability and customer impact minimization.
- Automate operational tasks where possible using tools such as Ansible, Python, or vendor APIs.
- Work closely with architecture, security, and NOC teams to align on design and operational best practices.
Skills/Must have:
- Proven experience in service provider or carrier-grade network environments.
- In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, IS-IS, BGP), MPLS, and traffic engineering.
- Hands-on expertise with L3VPN configurations and IPv6 integration.
- Familiarity with hardware platforms from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, or similar.
- Strong diagnostic skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting complex issues.
- Experience with automation/scripting and version control is a plus.
- Industry certifications (e.g., JNCIP-SP, CCNP/SP, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
