They are looking for a dynamic, growth-oriented Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and scale operations for a fast-growing managed services organisation. Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the MSP, ensuring efficient and scalable service delivery
- Implement and refine operational processes, KPIs, and SLAs across all service lines
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance client satisfaction and operational efficiency
- Establish best practices for service delivery, incident management, and escalation procedures
- Growth & Strategy
- Partner with executive leadership to define and execute growth strategies
- Identify opportunities for expansion (new services, verticals, geographies, partnerships)
- Lead M&A integration efforts (if applicable), ensuring seamless operational alignment
- Develop scalable frameworks to support rapid business growth
- Technical Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and scale a multi-tiered technical organization:
- Help Desk / Service Desk
- Desktop Support / Field Services
- Network & Systems Engineers
- Senior Engineers / Architects
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, innovation, and collaboration
- Align technical skill development with evolving business and client needs
- Lead, mentor, and scale a multi-tiered technical organization:
- Sales & Revenue Alignment
- Partner closely with Sales and Pre-Sales teams to support revenue growth
- Contribute to solution design, pricing strategies, and service packaging
- Ensure operational readiness and successful onboarding of new clients
- Support upsell/cross-sell initiatives through strong service delivery and client relationships
- Customer Success & Experience
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction, retention, and contract renewal rates
- Act as an executive escalation point for key clients
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic accounts
- Financial & Performance Management
- Own operational P&L, budgeting, and cost optimization initiatives
- Track and report on key performance metrics (utilization, margin, ticket resolution, etc.)
- Align resource planning with revenue and growth targets
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of leadership experience within an MSP or IT services organization
- Proven success scaling operations and driving measurable business growth
- Strong experience managing technical teams across multiple disciplines and seniority levels
- Deep understanding of MSP business models (SLAs, utilization, recurring revenue, etc.)
- Experience working closely with sales teams in a pre-sales or solutions capacity
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and operational metrics
Preferred Experience:
- Background in network infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, or unified communications
- Experience with PSA/RMM tools and IT service management platforms
- Prior experience in a high-growth or private equity-backed environment
- M&A integration experience is a plus
