Responsibilities:

  • Support the Site Manager in daily operation of all technical and facility systems within the data center.
  • Coordinate maintenance, inspections, and service activities for electrical and mechanical infrastructure (UPS, gensets, HVAC, fire systems).
  • Supervise and brief external contractors and service providers on-site; issue and manage permits-to-work (PTWs).
  • Monitor site performance and environmental conditions, ensuring uptime and energy-efficiency targets are met.
  • Assist with incident response, fault-finding, and escalation in collaboration with the NOC and engineering teams.
  • Help maintain compliance with ISO 27001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Support customer visits, audits, and remote-hands requests in coordination with operations and sales.
  • Contribute to documentation updates, capacity tracking, and service reporting.
  • Deputise for the Site Manager when required and take ownership of smaller projects or specific infrastructure areas.


Skills/Requirements:

  • Technical qualification (e.g. Elektrotechniker, Haustechnik, IT-Systemtechniker) or equivalent experience.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in data-center, critical-facility, or building-services environments.
  • Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems (UPS, switchgear, cooling systems, BMS / EMS).
  • Familiarity with safety procedures, risk assessments, and PTW processes.
  • Basic understanding of IT / network cabling and connectivity infrastructure.
  • Hands-on attitude, proactive mindset, and willingness to take ownership of issues on-site.
