Responsibilities:
- Take full commercial ownership of a large-scale MEP package on a data center project.
- Manage cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting across the project lifecycle.
- Lead valuations and applications for payment.
- Identify, price, and negotiate variations and change orders.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, commercial negotiations, and contract administration.
- Monitor project cash flow, cost-to-complete, and margin performance.
- Work closely with project delivery teams (PM, Engineering, Construction) to align commercial and operational strategy.
- Provide accurate and timely commercial reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Support risk management, cost mitigation, and value engineering initiatives.
Skills/Must have:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor on MEP or complex construction projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical and/or mechanical systems within construction environments.
- Experience delivering large-scale projects (£20m+ packages, ideally higher).
- Strong track record managing variations, change orders, and protecting project margin.
- Knowledge of contract forms such as NEC, FIDIC, or JCT.
- Experience managing subcontractor packages and commercial negotiations.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, site-based environments.
