Responsibilities:

  • Take full commercial ownership of a large-scale MEP package on a data center project.
  • Manage cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting across the project lifecycle.
  • Lead valuations and applications for payment.
  • Identify, price, and negotiate variations and change orders.
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, commercial negotiations, and contract administration.
  • Monitor project cash flow, cost-to-complete, and margin performance.
  • Work closely with project delivery teams (PM, Engineering, Construction) to align commercial and operational strategy.
  • Provide accurate and timely commercial reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Support risk management, cost mitigation, and value engineering initiatives.


Skills/Must have:

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor on MEP or complex construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and/or mechanical systems within construction environments.
  • Experience delivering large-scale projects (£20m+ packages, ideally higher).
  • Strong track record managing variations, change orders, and protecting project margin.
  • Knowledge of contract forms such as NEC, FIDIC, or JCT.
  • Experience managing subcontractor packages and commercial negotiations.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, site-based environments.
