They are looking for a Control Systems Engineer to play a design‑focused role in supporting their strategic expansion, helping to establish a technical hub in Bristol and broaden delivery capabilities as part of a major national power group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and oversee the construction of electrical control panels for generator and power distribution applications.
  • Configure and troubleshoot ComAp and DeepSea generator controllers, including synchronisation and load sharing.
  • Conduct detailed site surveys of existing mechanical and electrical generator equipment to support project proposals.
  • Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), overseeing on-site commissioning with contractors.
  • Interpret complex LV and HV electrical schematics to diagnose faults and implement switching logic.
  • Ensure all systems meet G99 and G100 grid protection requirements and compliance standards.


Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience specifically within generator control systems and control panel design.
  • Expertise in ComAp or DeepSea module systems, including the ability to design upgrades and modifications.
  • Strong understanding of LV/HV schematics and grid compliance principles (G99/G100).
  • Proven commercial experience within the power generation or critical infrastructure sectors.
  • Based within commuting distance of Bristol and willing to travel to sites across the South of England roughly twice a week.


Interview Process:

  • Stage 2: A technical review session with a senior technical lead to discuss design capabilities.

Salary:
