They are looking for a Data Center Technician to support the day-to-day operations of critical facilities, ensuring uptime, reliability, and efficiency across power, cooling, and network infrastructure. Responsibilities:
- Monitor, operate, and maintain critical infrastructure systems across the data center.
- Support power systems including UPS, PDUs, generators, and backup power systems.
- Maintain cooling infrastructure including CRAC units, chillers, and airflow systems.
- Respond to alarms and incidents, carrying out troubleshooting and escalation where required.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems.
- Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, airflow) to ensure optimal performance.
- Support installation, relocation, and decommissioning of IT equipment.
- Maintain documentation including maintenance logs, incident reports, and system updates.
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure compliance with safety procedures and RAMS.
- Follow and update operational procedures (SOPs, MOPs, EOPs).
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance requirements.
- Participate in on-call rotation and shift-based support when required
Skills/Must have:
- Experience working in a data center, facilities, or critical environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical infrastructure systems.
- Hands-on experience with:
- UPS systems, generators, PDUs
- CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, HVAC systems
- Familiarity with BMS / DCIM systems and alarm monitoring tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and system data.
- Experience with incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of LOTO procedures, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
- Strong documentation skills and experience working with SOPs, MOPs, EOPs.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment including on-call rotation
