Responsibilities:

  • Perform hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, including servers, storage systems, PDUs, and networking equipment.
  • Carry out rack and stack duties, cabling, and structured build work for new and existing deployments.
  • Provide remote hands support for customers, including reboots, component swaps, cabling checks, and diagnostics.
  • Support both internal teams and external customers through ticket- and email-based communication.
  • Assist with customer hardware deployments onsite, ensuring clean, accurate, and secure installation.
  • Monitor and maintain data centre infrastructure in line with operational standards.
  • Contribute to process improvements, documentation, and small internal development tasks.
  • Participate in data centre tours and customer visits as required.
  • Collaborate closely with a multi-shift operations team to ensure smooth 24/7 facility coverage.


Skills/Must have:

  • Background in IT support, data centre operations, or related technical environment.
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Hardware installation and troubleshooting
  • Cabling and rack setup
  • Basic Linux command-line usage
  • Strong understanding of physical infrastructure components (servers, PDUs, power, cooling basics).
  • Ability to work independently and follow precise operational procedures.
  • Fluent in German (customer-facing requirement).
  • Comfortable working with ticketing systems and written communication.
  • Must be willing to perform physical tasks such as lifting equipment, installing hardware, and navigating data hall spaces.
