Responsibilities:
- Support pre-installation planning, on-site deployment, and go-live testing for complex network systems.
- Perform on-site network surveys, prepare configuration plans, and execute hardware/software installation.
- Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and encryption devices.
- Conduct root cause analysis and resolve issues across multiple network layers.
- Implement systems in accordance with DoD security guidelines and policies.
- Create and maintain detailed deployment documentation, including network diagrams and rack layouts.
- Provide feedback to engineering teams to enhance deployment processes.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required (approximately 10%).
Skills/Must Have:
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience, or 7+ years total experience in network administration
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, MPLS, QoS)
- Experience with network device configuration via CLI
- Proficiency in deployment of network and security equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, encryption appliances)
- Experience applying DoD security standards in multi-enclave environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- DoD 8140 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification (Intermediate Network Operations Specialist, DCWF Code 441)
- Valid driver’s license and eligibility for international travel
