Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a small, highly technical Customer Engineering team
  • Act as the technical lead in pre-sales engagements and customer evaluations
  • Validate new products, releases, and features prior to customer deployment
  • Oversee 1st to 4th line customer support and issue resolution
  • Plan and execute product trials, demonstrations, and field deployments
  • Deliver technical training to customers and partners
  • Act as the escalation point for complex customer and system-level issues
  • Provide feedback to engineering teams based on real-world customer use cases


Essential Requirements

  • Ability to follow hybrid working model with approximately 50 percent office or lab presence
  • Ability to travel internationally to support customers and deployments
  • 10+ years in a relevant technical engineering or systems role
  • Strong understanding of wireless system deployment and data networking
  • Hands-on experience with L2 and L3 networking concepts
  • Proven experience leading or mentoring technical teams
  • Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills


Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Background in rail communications or tactical defence networks
  • Experience working with military or government customers
  • Ex-military backgrounds such as Royal Signals are strongly valued
  • Experience acting as a technical authority or customer-facing engineering lead
