ICT Engineer - Telecommunications

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and manage ICT infrastructure supporting telecommunications and security projects
• Administer and maintain Microsoft Active Directory server environments
• Deploy, troubleshoot and support servers across multiple customer environments
• Manage service delivery lifecycle including feasibility studies, requirements gathering and technical documentation
• Plan and implement new hardware and software systems, producing operating procedures and policies
• Provide lifecycle support, version control and preventive maintenance for data centre equipment
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal business units
• Participate in technical meetings, conferences and working groups
• Prepare software engineering project proposals including scope, requirements and cost estimates
• Work to deadlines and perform effectively under pressure

Skills/Must have:

• Experience designing and implementing ICT infrastructure (hardware and software-defined architectures)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting Microsoft operating systems and Active Directory (including OU design and replication)
• Experience with VMware virtualised environments (or equivalent), including High Availability
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals
• Experience maintaining servers in medium to large data centres
• Windows OS and application hardening experience
• PowerShell scripting capability
• Experience producing enterprise implementation and migration documentation
• Knowledge of data centre devices and security infrastructure
• Fluent English (spoken and written)
• Relevant technical diploma or degree in Computer Science or similar
