Responsibilities:
- Develop and continuously enhance a customer-facing cyber security framework aligned with Secure by Design principles, the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF), and relevant regulatory and industry standards.
- Define and embed clear cyber security risk ownership and governance across customer deployments.
- Ensure secure sourcing of technology products and services.
- Promote and apply a risk-driven approach to cyber security architecture and implementation.
- Design and assure usable, effective security controls across IT and OT environments.
- Build detect-and-respond capabilities into deployed solutions.
- Design flexible, resilient architectures that minimise attack surface and apply defence-in-depth principles.
- Embed continuous assurance and secure change management practices.
- Ensure customer deployments comply with internal security frameworks, contractual requirements, and applicable standards including GDPR, ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.
- Provide assurance where solutions integrate with internal systems, supplier systems, and customer corporate networks.
- Lead customer-facing cyber security audits and assurance engagements, including follow-up remediation programmes.
- Support strategic bids and pre-sales activities by interpreting tender security requirements and articulating robust cyber security responses.
- Collaborate with product teams and technical leaders to ensure security is embedded throughout the service and solution lifecycle.
Skills/Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in information and cyber security, with demonstrable expertise across both Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) environments.
- Strong working knowledge of recognised cyber security frameworks, standards, and best practices, including experience applying Secure by Design and/or the Cyber Assessment Framework.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, NCSC CCP, or CCISO highly desirable.
- Proven ability to combine technology controls, governance, policy, process, risk management, and user awareness to mitigate cyber risk.
- Experience leading customer-facing audits, assurance reviews, and remediation programmes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication, consulting, and senior stakeholder management skills.
- Experience contributing to pre-sales or bid environments, particularly for complex or regulated sectors.
- Ideally south based but can be country wide, Remote - Travel UK Wide (Camberley office)
