Responsibilities:

• Oversee the installation, layout, and maintenance of network infrastructure.
• Design, analyze, and provide technical support for fiber and copper-based networks.
• Research and evaluate new network technologies; recommend equipment purchases.
• Support Windows and Linux-based back-office systems and participate in an on-call rotation with engineers.
• Assist with provisioning and technical support as needed.

Skills/Must Have:

• In-depth working knowledge of Calix and Cisco network equipment.
• Intermediate expertise in routing (BGP, OSPF), switching, and PON configurations.
• Familiarity with fiber termination specifications and Unix-based scripting.
• Strong project management, written, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of PON and DSL networks, outside plant equipment, and Carrier Grade NAT.
• Background in facilities setup (power, space, HVAC, cabling).
• BS in Information Technology or equivalent education and 5+ years in network engineering (2+ years in systems engineering).

Salary:

• $70,000 - $110,000 a year
