Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end patch management process across the estate, ensuring all Operating Systems and COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) applications remain secure and up to date.
• Manage and deploy critical patches for proprietary, custom-built software used within the transport infrastructure sector.
• Utilize Ivanti (and/or Microsoft Intune) to automate deployment, track compliance, and generate detailed security reports for senior leadership.
• Identify and troubleshoot complex deployment failures, ensuring zero downtime for critical infrastructure systems.
• Collaborate with the wider IT Security team to define patching schedules and respond to emerging vulnerabilities in real-time.

Skills/Must have:

• 3–5 years of total experience in System Support or IT Security roles.
• At least 1+ year of hands-on experience using Ivanti for patch management and systems administration.
• Proven expertise in patch management across diverse environments (OS, third-party apps, and custom software).
• A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently in a fully remote capacity.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to pass a technical online assessment.
• Standard DBS clearance (or the ability to obtain one).

Nice to have:

• Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Relevant Microsoft accreditations (e.g., AZ-104 or MS-102).
• Strong experience with Microsoft Intune (if looking to transition into an Ivanti-focused role).
