One of our clients, a global provider of IT services and data centre solutions, is looking to hire a Network Operations Engineer II to join their high-performing operations team.

This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, large-scale environment supporting critical network infrastructure across data centre and NOC operations. You’ll gain exposure to multi-vendor technologies and play a key role in maintaining network performance, stability, and uptime.

As a Network Operations Engineer II, you will be responsible for monitoring, supporting, and troubleshooting network infrastructure across data centre and NOC environments.

You will work across a range of technologies and vendors, responding to incidents, identifying root causes, and ensuring network issues are resolved efficiently to minimise disruption.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain and support network infrastructure across NOC and data centre environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues across multi-vendor switching platforms
  • Respond to network incidents and outages, performing root cause analysis and implementing fixes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network changes, incidents and resolutions
  • Prioritise and manage multiple incidents in a fast-paced environment
  • Support continuous improvement of network operations and processes
  • Act as a technical resource within the team, providing guidance where required

Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience within a NOC or data centre environment
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including Ethernet, TCP/IP and VLANs
  • Hands-on experience with network vendors such as Cisco, Arista, Celestica, Nvidia or Accton
  • Proven troubleshooting skills within complex network environments
  • Experience using network monitoring tools and ticketing systems
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

  • Industry certifications such as CCNA or CCNP
  • Knowledge of data centre best practices and operational standards
