Responsibilities:

• Lead mechanical and HVAC design across new data center builds and expansions
• Validate and verify mechanical designs throughout design and construction phases
• Own mechanical and HVAC documentation for construction and operational handover
• Work with consultants, contractors and vendors to ensure mechanical designs meet performance and resilience requirements
• Support commissioning, testing and transition of mechanical systems into live operations
• Review and approve mechanical design submissions and as built documentation
• Contribute to standardisation and continuous improvement of mechanical design across multiple sites

Required Skills:

• Strong background in mechanical engineering within data center environments
• Proven HVAC design experience including validation and verification
• Experience supporting data center projects through construction phases
• Understanding of cooling strategies for high density data halls
• Ability to review and challenge third party mechanical designs
• Comfortable producing and maintaining detailed technical documentation
