Responsibilities:

  • Support the operational performance of network and IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and stability.
  • Implement customer network services and connectivity solutions with a focus on quality and reliability.
  • Provide 2nd line support (and assist with 3rd line escalations) for network and network-security incidents.
  • Participate in change, incident, and problem management processes.
  • Operate, maintain, and improve internal network systems and monitoring platforms.
  • Support network and security projects, including firewall changes, segmentation, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Assist with network capacity planning, upgrades, and lifecycle replacements.
  • Ensure network configurations and documentation are accurate and kept up to date.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing technical input and evidence.
  • Collaborate closely with senior engineers on design decisions and improvement initiatives.


Skills/Must have:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in network operations within data centers, ISPs, managed services, or cloud environments.
  • Solid hands-on knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF (IS-IS a plus).
  • Practical experience with VxLAN and EVPN in data center or enterprise environments.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or HPE/Aruba.
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of network security (firewalls, segmentation, access control).
  • Comfortable working with ticketing systems, documentation, and structured operational processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset and willingness to take ownership of issues.
  • Good communication skills in German and English.
