Network Engineer - MSP

We are seeking a skilled Managed Services Engineer to join a growing team in Indianapolis. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Cisco and Fortinet technologies, combined with a strong understanding of Windows Server environments and virtualization platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco networking devices (switches, routers, and wireless solutions).
• Implement and maintain Fortinet firewalls and security appliances.
• Perform regular network health checks and optimize performance.
• Install, configure, and manage Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.
• Perform patch management, upgrades, and backups.
• Manage and maintain virtualized environments, including VMware or Hyper-V.
• Deploy and troubleshoot virtual machines and related services.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support to clients, ensuring SLAs are met.
• Collaborate with clients to design and implement IT infrastructure improvements.
• Maintain documentation for client environments and project work.
• Respond to escalations and provide Tier 2/3 support for complex issues.
• Monitor and manage security policies and configurations.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and client-specific requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in an MSP or similar IT environment.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking (certifications such as CCNA or CCNP preferred).
• Proficiency with Fortinet products (e.g., FortiGate firewalls; NSE certification is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Active Directory.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V).
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols.

Preferred:

• Exposure to cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Python, etc.).
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Salary:

• $80,000 - $100,000
