Responsibilities:

• Design and build the core E2B backend and cloud infrastructure powering AI software creation.
• Work directly with VM hypervisors (Firecracker, gVisor) and Linux systems to build high-performance runtimes.
• Develop and optimize sandboxes for LLMs and implement secure, isolated networking solutions.
• Shave off every millisecond by monitoring resources and optimizing sandbox performance at scale.
• Solve complex distributed systems challenges, leveraging Kubernetes or Nomad for orchestration.
• Collaborate closely with Distributed Systems Engineers and work directly with users.

Skills/Must have:

• 5+ years of experience in Golang, Python, and TypeScript.
• 5+ years building and operating infrastructure at scale, specifically distributed systems.
• 5+ years of Linux administration with deep knowledge of internals (kernel, namespaces, networking, containers).
• Experience working with VM hypervisors (Firecracker, gVisor) or similar container runtimes.
• Experience with Kubernetes or Nomad.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, comfortable taking ownership, and excited to work in person from San Francisco.

Salary:

• $180,000 - $250,000 + Equity
