Responsibilities:
- Programming, troubleshooting (to component level), and repairing a variety of DMR and PMR radio equipment.
- Conducting detailed site surveys for distributed antenna system (DAS) deployments.
- Managing maintenance contracts, providing site-based service, and supporting both pre-sales and post-sales technical queries.
- Ensuring all systems meet regulatory standards, including EMF testing and Ofcom measurement requirements.
- Integrating hardware with specialized client software and maintaining accurate technical documentation.
- Investigating and rectifying RF interference and intermodulation issues.
Skills/Must have:
- Sector Experience: At least 5 years of experience within the business radio engineering sector.
- Technical Proficiency: Proven expertise in DMR/PMR radio equipment and an understanding of VoIP/IP networks.
- Mobility: A full UK driving license and the flexibility to travel, including an average of 2–3 nights away per month.
- Manual Skills: Strong soldering skills and proficient use of specialized test equipment.
- Compliance Knowledge: Ability to manage Health & Safety requirements and technical record-keeping.
