Key Responsibilities:

• Provide operational support and administration of Palo Alto Networks security platforms within a 24x7 enterprise environment. 
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls to ensure optimal performance and security. Investigate and resolve firewall and network security-related incidents and operational issues. 
• Implement and maintain firewall policies, rule changes, and configuration updates in line with operational and security requirements. 
• Perform routine system health checks, patching, and maintenance activities across security infrastructure. 
• Support incident response activities and assist with the investigation of security alerts and events. Work closely with network, infrastructure, and security teams to maintain secure and stable operations. 
• Maintain documentation relating to configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting activities. 
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes and security controls.

Requirements:

• Possess hands-on experience supporting Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls within enterprise environments. 
• Hold Palo Alto Networks certifications such as PCNSE, PCNSA, or equivalent certifications from the newer Palo Alto certification framework such as Network Security Professional or Next-Generation Firewall Engineer. 
• Demonstrate strong experience troubleshooting firewall and network security platforms. 
• Have experience working within a BAU or operational support environment. 
• Maintain a solid understanding of network security concepts including firewall policies, traffic inspection, and threat prevention. 
• Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
• Work effectively within a fast-paced operational team environment. 
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional technical teams. 
• Ability to successfully pass government police vetting requirements.

Desirable Experience:

• Experience supporting security infrastructure within government or large enterprise environments. 
• Exposure to security monitoring, incident response, or SOC environments. 
• Possess a broad understanding of enterprise networking including routing and switching.
