What would it look like to engineer the physical backbone of one of the most advanced trading environments in the world?

Join a global trading firm where traders, engineers, and researchers collaborate to solve some of the most complex challenges in financial markets. This organization operates across every asset class and time horizon, building advanced models, systems, and infrastructure that power real-time decision-making at scale. With a culture rooted in curiosity, precision, and continuous innovation, their team works from first principles to design and optimize strategies, leveraging AI, machine learning, and high-performance technology to stay ahead.

They are looking for a Data Center Engineer to join their specialised team and take responsibility for supporting the physical infrastructure behind a global, GPU-accelerated trading environment. This role operates beyond traditional data center standards, focusing on ultra-high-density deployments where liquid cooling and immersion technologies are integral. It’s an environment built for high-agency individuals who thrive on solving hard problems, pushing boundaries, and turning research into real-world impact.

If you’re looking to work closely with quantitative researchers and contribute to next-generation trading infrastructure, apply now!

Responsibilities:

  • Engineering Liquid Solutions: Oversee the deployment and maintenance of advanced liquid cooling systems (CDUs, manifolds, and secondary networks) to keep 50kW+ racks operating at peak performance.
  • GPU Fleet Orchestration: Manage the physical lifecycle of GPU-dense nodes, ensuring interconnects (InfiniBand/RoCE) are optimised for low-latency execution.
  • Thermal Performance Tuning: Utilise advanced telemetry to monitor the thermal profile of HPC clusters, proactively identifying cooling inefficiencies before they impact performance.
  • Strategic Site Management: Contribute to architectural discussions for global site expansions, helping to define how power and cooling infrastructure is scaled.

Skills/Must have:

  • HPC & GPU Expertise: Extensive experience with high-density compute, specifically NVIDIA DGX/HGX platforms or similar large-scale GPU architectures.
  • Advanced Cooling Systems: Hands-on proficiency with Liquid Cooling (Direct-to-Chip, Immersion, or RDHx) and an understanding of facility-side mechanical requirements.
  • Power & Space Mastery: Deep knowledge of high-density power delivery (3-phase, busways) and the ability to calculate thermal loads with surgical precision.
  • Connectivity Standards: Expert-level knowledge of high-speed physical layers, including MPO/MTP fiber, AOC, and DAC cabling for InfiniBand/400G+ Ethernet.
  • The HFT Mindset: A "mission-critical" temperament, ideally coming from a background in HFT, FinTech, or Research Labs where uptime and performance are non-negotiable.

Benefits:

  • High-level bonus structure
