Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain data centre network infrastructure to ensure reliability, performance, and uptime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Layer 2 and Layer 3 network incidents, escalating where necessary.
• Implement network configuration changes including DNS updates, IP allocations, DHCP scopes, and Infoblox management.
•  Manage firewall rules and support routing, switching, and core data centre networking technologies such as VXLAN, EVPN, and WAN.
• Ability to work 3 days per week onsite with working hours typically from 9:00–18:00

Skills / Must Have:

• Strong routing and switching knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking issues.
• Experience working in a production Network Operations or Senior NOC environment.
• Knowledge of data centre networking concepts including VXLAN, EVPN, and WAN connectivity.
• Cisco networking experience (CCNP level knowledge or equivalent) with exposure to firewall platforms such as Palo Alto or FortiGate.

Nice to have:

• Exposure to automation tools such as Python or Ansible.

Salary:

• £65,000 (potential flexibility up to £70,000 for the right candidate)
