Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of the core infrastructure, administering and maintaining primarily Linux-based environments through configuration, deployment, upgrades, and patching.
- Drive the end-to-end delivery of technical projects, from initial design and development through to implementation and documentation, ensuring seamless broadcast transmission.
- Act as the technical authority for system performance, proactively monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues to ensure optimal uptime and data integrity.
- Collaborate effectively across the business, working with engineers, managers, and vendors to resolve issues and provide expert input for technical briefings and project planning.
Skills/Must have:
- Deep, hands-on expertise across various Linux distributions (such as Rocky, Debian, or Ubuntu).
- A proven track record in designing, building, and operating complex, high-availability distributed systems.
- Strong experience with modern infrastructure tooling, including monitoring/logging (e.g., Grafana, ELK), cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and automation (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
- Solid knowledge of core networking technologies, including the TCP/IP stack, switching, routing, and multicast.
- Demonstrable experience in system hardening, security best practices, and performance tuning.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and clear communication skills, with a focus on detail and the ability to perform under pressure.
