Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and deliver software solutions to meet defined business and technical requirements
- Collaborate with architecture teams and wider stakeholders to ensure requirements are accurate and well understood
- Merge and manage code through CI/CD pipelines
- Review code produced by peers and provide constructive feedback
- Support and maintain existing software deployments
- Investigate, diagnose and resolve defects
- Prepare, execute and document tests for software deliverables
- Develop and maintain automated test suites and supporting test platforms
- Support release activities, including early-life defect remediation, feature requests and ad-hoc user support
Skills/Must have:
- Commercial experience developing distributed cloud systems, ideally using AWS
- Strong experience with Python in a production environment
- Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases and their cloud-based implementations
- Experience designing, building and consuming secure APIs
- Proven ability to troubleshoot application and API performance issues
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform
- Experience working with Test-Driven Development practices
- Hands-on experience building automated test suites for web UIs, APIs and business software processes
- A proactive, detail-oriented team player with strong problem-solving skills
