Chief Information Security Officer - Government

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chief Information Security Officer to join our team on a freelance basis for an initial 6-month contract.

As a Freelance Information Security Officer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring compliance with security standards and regulations within our government organization

Responsibilities:

• Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and assess the effectiveness of security controls.
• Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with government regulations and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders
• Coordinate with IT teams and external vendors to implement security controls and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption solutions.

Skills/Must have:

• Strong knowledge of information security frameworks, standards, and regulations, including GDPR, NIST, and ISO 27001.
• Hands-on experience with security technologies and tools, such as SIEM, DLP, encryption, and identity and access management solutions
• Fluency in Dutch
• CISSP, CISM, CISA Certifications are always preferred

Salary:

• €90-105 ph
