We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join our client's team.

They are now seeking a Cyber Security Engineer, to play a critical role in protecting their organisation from cybersecurity threats and ensuring systems and data security. You will be responsible for handling security tickets, utilising Elastic for log analysis and threat detection, providing support to our sales team, and leading the implementation of security solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle security tickets efficiently and effectively, addressing cybersecurity incidents, vulnerabilities, and user inquiries.
  • Utilize Elastic (Elasticsearch) for log analysis, threat detection, and security monitoring.
  • Provide support to the sales team by assisting with security-related inquiries from clients and prospects.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, answering questions from internal teams regarding security protocols, best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead the implementation and ongoing support of security solutions, ensuring they are properly configured and optimized.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate security measures seamlessly into existing systems and processes.
  • Participate in out-of-hours on-call rotation (1 in 3 weeks) to handle urgent security incidents and support business continuity.

Skills/Must have:

  • Strong experience in cybersecurity implementation and support, focusing on incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management.
  • Proficiency in using Elastic (Elasticsearch) for log analysis and security monitoring.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
