A leading IT Solutions Provider is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Desktop Support Engineer to join their dynamic IT team. As a prominent player in the technology sector, they are committed to delivering exceptional services, and success is powered by the dedication and expertise of talented professionals.

As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing 1st and 2nd line desktop, voice, and remote access support across offices and for remote users. Your responsibilities will encompass the setup of new IT equipment, maintenance of hardware/software builds, and ensuring software compliance throughout the company. 

Additionally, you will actively manage users and groups within Active Directory, implement approved procedures, and collaborate with various teams to ensure seamless IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong desktop and IT support experience.
  • Provide 1st and 2nd line desktop, voice, and remote access support.
  • Set up new IT equipment, including laptops, desktops, telephony, and mobile phones.
  • Maintain hardware/software builds and conduct audits for software compliance.
  • Manage users and groups within Active Directory.
  • Implement approved procedures such as change control, joiners/leavers, etc.
  • Support and maintain Microsoft Teams AV equipment (Yealink).
  • Prepare and maintain up-to-date documentation.
  • Assist the Linux/Network teams as needed.
  • Manage relationships and collaborate with vendors to escalate issues when appropriate.

Skills/Experience:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in IT Support/Desktop Analyst or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office365.
  • Experience managing users and groups within Active Directory.
  • Installation of new software and hardware (laptops, printers, workstations, etc.).
  • Troubleshooting basic VPN and networking issues.
  • Working knowledge of MDM (mobile device management) software is desirable.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks within a dynamic environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
