Responsibilities 

  • You will be responsible for the continuous commissioning, support, and routine monitoring of assigned telecommunications equipment, including Points of Presence (POPs), manufacturing equipment (MFG), transmission lines, and customer equipment. Your focus will be on ensuring these components operate optimally.
  • In the event of technical infrastructure faults, you will promptly diagnose and rectify issues, either manually or by coordinating with service providers. Your swift response is crucial to maintaining network reliability.
  • Execute scheduled maintenance tasks, adhering rigorously to maintenance and inspection intervals. This includes the possibility of night maintenance and on-call duty to guarantee uninterrupted service.
  • Manage and respond to fiber cuts efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure minimal disruption to network services.
  • You will perform technical work within our networks, addressing any technical challenges, optimizing network performance, and ensuring the overall integrity of the network.
  • Provide support for various projects, contributing your technical expertise to the successful implementation of network enhancements and expansions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of equipment, services, and inventory. This documentation ensures effective network management and troubleshooting.


Experience & Skills 

  • Proven experience in commissioning, maintenance, and support of telecommunications equipment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, transmission lines, POPs, and customer equipment.
  • Ability to swiftly rectify faults and coordinate with service providers when necessary.
  • Proficiency in managing fiber cuts and network maintenance.
  • Capability to perform technical work within telecommunications networks.
  • Strong project support skills, with a track record of successful contributions.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to documentation and inventory management.
  • Willingness to work during scheduled maintenance and on-call duty, including nights if required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
