We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Head of Penetration Testing. In this key position, you will lead our team of skilled testers, drive business targets, and enhance our penetration testing capabilities. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor our team of penetration testers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Retain talent by mentoring and developing the team for career progression.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise in pre-sales activities.
  • Conduct scoping exercises to understand client requirements effectively.
  • Manage the resource schedule in line with utilization targets, assigning new tests to the team.
  • Oversee relationships with outsource providers, allocating contracts strategically.
  • Ensure high-quality and timely delivery of penetration tests by overseeing their execution.
  • Provide technical and commercial quality assurance on test reports.
  • Drive the development of the penetration service catalogue in collaboration with marketing.
  • Maintain the team's accreditation status and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Oversee the implementation of tools like Dradis and maximize benefits from our Hack the Box subscription.

Skills/Must-have:

  • Circa 5+ years' experience in a penetration testing role.
  • Recognized certifications such as CREST Registered Penetration Tester (CRT), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Certification.
  • CHECK Team Lead (CTL) – have or be able to obtain CTL within the next 3 months.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Track record of providing technical support to testers, especially during complex engagements.
  • Experience as a point of escalation for client issues, resolving challenges effectively.
