They are looking for a Hydrovac Operator to work directly with project Construction Managers, operating hydrovac equipment safely while supporting general labor tasks as required. This role demands a self-motivated individual who can work independently, travel regularly, and safely handle heavy lifting, including equipment and materials over 100 pounds. Responsibilities:

  • Gain experience operating hydrovac equipment safely in a utility construction environment.
  • Perform general labor tasks as required to support project needs.
  • Work directly with the project Construction Manager to execute assigned duties.
  • Maintain all operational safety standards while handling equipment and materials, including items over 100 pounds.
  • Collaborate positively with the broader team to deliver high-quality results.
  • Uphold professional company standards at all times.
    Travel regularly to support multiple project sites.
  • Work independently with minimal direction while staying aligned with project goals.
  • Safe and Efficient utility excavation 
  • Safe and Efficient Equipment Operation
  • Use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Stand, walk, sit, climb, or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. 
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. 


Requirements:

  • Autonomous Reliability and Integrity
  • Hazard Mitigation and Safety Compliance
  • Strong Communication and Reporting Skills
  • Knowledge of Slurry and Spoils processing/dumping regulations
  • Valid Class 3 license required (Class 1 preferred)
  • Valid Ground Disturbance II certification
  • Minimum 1 year working in utility build environments as a hydrovac operator
  • Excellent work habits and demonstrated ability to perform the job well.
  • Values being on time and holding others to the same.
  • Able to safely handle and carry ladders and weights of 100+ pounds.
  • Enjoy working outdoors year-round.
  • Values meet the company standards of appearance and demeanor always.
  • Able to work alone with minimal direction.
  • Comfortable pulling and backing up trailers.
  • A good attitude and works well with other company employees and management in providing excellent results for our customers. 
  • Someone who recognizes that travel will be required.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Valid Class 3 License with Class 1 preferred.
  • Valid Ground Disturbance training certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of hydrovac operating experience in a utility construction environment.
