Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive information systems audits primarily remotely across various sectors, including financial, energy, and government.
  • Utilize CISA certification and expertise in compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC 2, NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS) to assess clients' adherence to relevant standards.
  • Act as a client-facing representative, engaging confidently with clients to collect evidence, review findings, and provide recommendations based on identified gaps.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings, collaborating with the team to share insights and best practices.
  • Take ownership of projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to their professional development under the guidance of senior leadership.
  • Maintain proficiency in internal best practices and industry standards, proactively seeking training and learning opportunities between projects.

Requirements:

  • Mandatory CISA certification.
  • Proficiency in compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC 2, NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
  • Demonstrated capacity to transition into a mentor or leadership role as the team expands.
  • Strong client-facing skills with effective communication (strong personality).
  • Solid understanding of internal best practices (ISACA/AICPA).
  • Excellent time management skills, proactive in self-improvement and learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Vulnerability Assessment tools such as Qualys, Horizon3, or Huntress.
  • Familiarity with vendor management processes.
  • Additional certifications such as CDPSE or CISP are advantageous.

Ideal Background:

  • Experience in a Big 4 firm or similar with exposure to billable project environments.
  • Background in risk management or insurance highly desirable.
  • Previous experience with client-facing roles and project management.

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Navigate assigned projects from inception to conclusion, ensuring thorough assessments and actionable recommendations.
  • Engage with clients to collect evidence and facilitate audits, maintaining professionalism and rapport.
  • Analyze evidence, identify gaps, and provide insightful recommendations based on findings.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings to collaborate with team members and share insights.
  • Report directly to leadership and receive mentorship from senior leadership,
