Infrastructure Analyst - Utilities

Our client is a leading utilities organization committed to innovation and excellence in the industry. They seek an experienced Infrastructure Analyst to join their dynamic team in the Midlands office.

The client is offering a 6-month contract with the view to extension for over 12 months.

The ideal candidate will provide 2nd/3rd line technical support to our server estate, focusing on VMware virtualization and Citrix environments. This is an onsite position requiring SC clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 2nd/3rd line technical support to the server estate.
• Manage and maintain VMware virtualization environments, including different versions of Esxi hosts and vSphere.
• Deploy and manage new or updated applications and operating systems.
• Manage and deploy applications in a Citrix VDA environment.
• Design, build, and maintain VMware infrastructure with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) capabilities.
• Deploy and manage virtual machines (VMs).

Skills/Must have:

• Strong experience in managing Windows desktop builds.
• Proficiency with application packaging technologies such as MSI.
• Desirable experience with software deployment technologies, especially SCCM.
• Knowledge of Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop is highly desirable.
• Experience in managing Anti-Virus and patching deployments.

Salary: 

• £325 per day
