IP Network Architect - Managed Services

An exciting Senior Network Architect (Telco) has just become available at an award-winning managed services company in Australia. Your main responsibility is to direct the development of IP carrier network design, overseeing end-to-end solutions, technology updates, RFPs and cost optimisation across core networks and cloud infrastructure.

You will be responsible for spearheading the development and implementation of IP carrier network design principles, architectures, and roadmaps across various core networks and cloud infrastructure. This role involves serving as the primary contact for technology roadmap updates, overseeing end-to-end IP network solutions, and playing a key role in RFPs, IPF preparation, and cost optimisation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Work in a consultative manner with the customer to gather information for creating an IP architecture and detailed design.
• Serve as the trusted advisor to the customer, providing guidance for architectural, technical, and business decisions aligned with the customer's business objectives.
• Maintain deep hands-on technical expertise to assist technical teams in resolving issues in lab and production environments.
• Handle all aspects of implementation, including configuration, integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Operate under high-pressure situations to ensure effective problem resolution.

Key Requirements:

• Valid CCIE certification
• 8 or more years of experience with designing, integrating and troubleshooting IP networks.
• In-depth level knowledge of IP Networking.
• Routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP), MPLS signaling protocols (RSVP, LDP), QoS, IP VPN, VPLS, Multicast.
• Experience in wireless transportation such as Microwave and LTE technologies, in-depth TDM knowledge including designing TDM networks over MPLS and strong communication skills would be a definite asset.

Salary:

• $150,000k - $180,000
