Are you an experienced IP Network Engineer seeking an exciting opportunity in the picturesque locations of Jersey or Guernsey?

We are partnered with a team that is leading in providing bespoke end-to-end solutions for our valued customers. As an IP Network Engineer, you will play a vital role in the design, implementation, and 3rd line support of their IP/MPLS networks. Working closely with Service Design, Service Assurance, and Service Management teams, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of cutting-edge technology solutions.


Responsibilities:

  • Operate, maintain, and manage  IP/MPLS networks, broadband BNGs, and DDoS protection systems.
  • Collaborate with Service Design for planning, testing, and implementation of enhancements and new technologies.
  • Implement and evaluate IP & MPLS related solutions/technologies.
  • Liaise with Product Management, Service Management, and other internal teams as required.
  • Take an active role in standby and call-out schemes, providing support when required.
  • Work off-Island when necessary.

Skills/Must Have:

  • Prior experience with configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network hardware (routers, switches).
  • Knowledge of OSPF and BGP dynamic routing protocols.
  • Familiarity with MPLS, L2VPN, L3VPNs, and traffic engineering.
  • Understanding of broadband BNGs, PPPoE, DDoS protection, and QoS.
  • Effective communication skills with customers and staff at all levels.
  • Current driving license
  • Living on Guernsey OR Jersey - we are unable to accommodate relocators at this time.

Salary:

  • £37,494 - £63,000 (subject to experience and skills)
