Junior Security Engineer

As a Junior Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our security operations and contributing to ongoing projects. This position will be primarily office-based, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support for various security tools and platforms, including Palo Alto, Proofpoint, SD-WAN/networking, Palo Alto Cortex, Zscaler, or Netskope.
• Assist with vulnerability management, user awareness training, phishing campaigns, and handling low-level security tickets/incidents.
• Collaborate with the SOC team to integrate security solutions and contribute to setting up and enhancing SOC operations.
• Engage in security automation initiatives to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
• Contribute to both project-based initiatives (20%) and day-to-day support tasks (80%).

Requirements:

• Familiarity with security technologies such as Palo Alto, Proofpoint, SD-WAN/networking, Palo Alto Cortex, Zscaler, or Netskope is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve security incidents effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the SOC setup.
• Proactive attitude towards learning and staying updated on the latest security trends and technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Salary:

• £35,000 - £45,000 DoE
