MySQL Database Administrator - Consultancy

We are seeking a skilled MySQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join our client team on a 12-month contract basis. 

As a MySQL DBA, you will play a critical role in installing, configuring, and deploying MySQL Servers. Your responsibilities will include capacity planning, performance tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing databases to ensure their efficient and reliable operation.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and deploy MySQL Servers in accordance with best practices.
• Perform capacity planning to ensure adequate resources for current and future database needs.
• Implement performance tuning strategies to optimize database performance and ensure efficient operation.
• Monitor database systems to identify and resolve issues proactively, minimizing downtime.
• Troubleshoot database-related problems and provide timely resolution.
• Implement security measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support database requirements for ongoing projects.
• Maintain documentation of database configurations, procedures, and best practices.

Skills: 

• Proven experience as a MySQL Database Administrator or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in MySQL database management and administration.
• Hands-on experience with installation, configuration, and deployment of MySQL Servers.
• In-depth knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Experience with capacity planning and resource utilization analysis.
• Solid understanding of database security principles and best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve database-related issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Must be fluent in Dutch
