Network Architect - Consultancy

We are seeking a proficient Network Architect for an initial 6-month contract. As a Network Architect, you will be pivotal in designing, configuring, and implementing network solutions, particularly in the realm of Network Cloud. 

This role demands a proven track record in navigating technical and architectural discussions, with a strong emphasis on Data Centre hosting and migration.

Must Haves:

• Demonstrated expertise in Network Cloud, with a focus on designing and implementing services.
• Proficiency in networking, SaaS, and security, including a deep understanding of protocols such as IPSEC, GRE, HTTP/HTTPS, and DNS.
• Mandated familiarity with Fortigate firewall and other firewall backgrounds, as well as hybrid cloud integration.
• Experience in designing and deploying Azure hybrid solutions, advising stakeholders, and translating business requirements into Azure-based solutions.
• Capability to design and implement Azure solutions, covering compute, network, storage, and security aspects.
• Ability to provide technical expertise aligned with federal mandates and priorities, along with developing future-state roadmaps for modernizing applications on Azure.
• Experience in reviewing proposed architectures, providing feedback, and delivering technical support for application deployments.
• Proficiency in creating deployment scripts for networking components and estimating financial impacts of architectural alternatives.
• Assistance in formalizing and standardizing cloud services offerings.

Nice to Haves:

• Substantial experience as a Cloud Network Architect, particularly with Azure deployments.
• Expertise in Azure networking services and security, including automation through PowerShell and Infrastructure as Code.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure and Operations, Microsoft Windows platforms, Active Directory, SIEM systems, and systems monitoring.
• Experience with Azure migrations, transformations, Landing Zones, and Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework.
• Strong knowledge of security control design, cloud native network security services, and deployment of IPSec VPN protocols.
• Understanding of endpoint security and cloud security solutions, as well as complex network connectivity solutions and emerging technologies like SD-WAN/SASE.

Qualifications:

• Cisco CCNP/CCIE or equivalent vendor certifications.
• Azure Networking Certifications such as Azure Network Engineer Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, and Azure Administrator Associate.
• Additional certifications in Palo Alto (ACE/PCNSE) or Fortinet (NSE) are advantageous.

Day Rate: £600 Per day (All Inclusive)

Location: Data centre locations - London (Paddington), Uxbridge, & Swindon

IR35 Determination: Inside IR35

Duration: 6 Months
