Network Design Engineer (Network Automation) - Telecommunications Service Provider

The company plays a pivotal role in connecting people and businesses, offering a diverse range of services, with a commitment to innovation and cutting-edge technology they are positioned as a key player in the digital transformation landscape. 

We are now assisting them in their search for multiple Engineers to join their dynamic team in Birmingham, working on the Core Network backbone. We are seeking 5 passionate engineers to contribute to the design and optimisation of our Cisco and Nokia IP/MPLS Core Network.

We are open to both experienced engineers and those looking to transition their skills. Whether you are a seasoned Software Engineer interested in learning IP Networks or a Network Engineer eager to explore software development, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on the design and enhancement of the Core Network Backbone.
• Work with Cisco and Nokia IP/MPLS technologies.
• Utilize programming languages such as Python, Jinja 2, TTP, and YAML in the development and configuration processes.
• Network design is at the forefront of this role, making your contribution crucial to our success.

Desired Skills:

• Proficiency in Python, Jinja 2, TTP, and YAML.
•  Experience or willingness to learn Cisco and Nokia Core Network technologies.
• Understanding of IP/MPLS protocols and configurations.
• Previous involvement in network design projects is highly valued.

Working Environment:

• Standard working hours.
• Three days per week based in Birmingham.

Salary:

•    £28,000-£72,000
