They are now seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join their small but dynamic team based in Edinburgh, UK. As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the network infrastructure spanning across the US, UK, and Asia. This position offers excellent opportunities for learning and development within the role, although growth beyond the position may be limited due to the size of the team.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure across multiple locations, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues.
  • Collaborate with team members in the US and UK to implement network solutions and enhancements.
  • Participate in on-call rotation (1 in 4), providing support as needed, although instances are rare due to excellent coverage.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve network infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Proficient knowledge of network protocols and technologies including BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, and IPSec tunnels.
  • CCNP certification preferred.
  • Experience with vendors such as Palo Alto or Aruba desirable but not essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary up to £70,000 dependent on experience and interview.
  • Bonus: 8% (variable, dependent on company performance).
