Network Engineer - IT Service Provider

Responsibilities:

• Network Design and Implementation:
• Design and implement robust and scalable network solutions based on client requirements.
• Configure and deploy Cisco and Fortinet networking devices, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Routing and Switching:
• Configure and manage routers and switches to establish efficient and secure communication within networks.
• Implement and troubleshoot dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
• Network Security:
• Design, implement, and maintain security measures to protect client networks.
• Utilize Fortinet solutions for firewall configurations, VPN setups, and intrusion detection/prevention.
• Wireless Networking:
• Deploy and manage wireless networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and high performance.
• Conduct site surveys and troubleshoot wireless network issues as needed.
• Network Monitoring and Optimization:
• Implement monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential network issues.
• Continuously optimize network performance to meet and exceed client expectations.
• Documentation:
• Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and change logs.
• Collaboration:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of networking solutions with other IT infrastructure components.
• Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) and Fortinet certifications are highly desirable.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing complex network solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of routing and switching protocols, network security, and wireless technologies.
• Experience working in a managed service provider environment is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary:

• $80,000 - $100,000
