Network Engineer (m/f/d) - Network & Security Solutions Provider

Responsibilities:

• Planning, setting up, documenting and maintaining network systems (LAN / WAN / VPN / MPLS / SD-WAN)
• Configuration of network devices such as switches, routers, security gateways and VPN gateways
• Detect and resolve network and connectivity issues, including troubleshooting firewall policy sets, routing and switching
• Monitor network activity, detect errors and troubleshoot connection problems
• Assist in implementing network security measures
• Administration, optimization and support of existing system environments

Skills/Must have:

• At least 5 years of practical experience in the IT industry
• Completed training in IT or comparable qualification
• Deep understanding of network topologies, network architectures, network security and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP, etc.)
• Expertise in administration and configuration of network devices
• Practical experience in dealing with Linux administration (Ubuntu, Debian)
• Experience troubleshooting network issues and optimizing network performance
• Experience with firewalls (Fortigate, Sophos, Checkpoint etc.) 
• Planning and implementation of firewall systems
• Fluent language skills in German and good knowledge of English
• Enjoy teamwork (communication, building up know-how and passing it on within the team)

Salary:

• Up to €80,000 a year
