We are partnered with a leading European financial powerhouse.  This pan-European stock exchange group, formed in 2000, connects economies across the continent.  It operates major exchanges in cities like Paris, Amsterdam, and Brussels, facilitating trades for equities, bonds, derivatives, and more.  Euronext boasts several prominent market indices, including the French CAC 40, and is known for its innovative spirit within the financial landscape.

They are now seeking a Network Operations Engineer on an initial 12-month contract to provide ongoing support of their 24/7 network operations centre.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert-level network support and operations experience to ensure the reliability and performance of our network infrastructure.
  • Utilize monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • Manage LAN/WAN environments, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive continuous improvement.
  • Exhibit a strong willingness and ability to quickly learn new products and network technologies, adapting to evolving needs and challenges.
  • Respond promptly to alerts from monitoring tools, investigating and resolving network problems efficiently.
  • Engage in troubleshooting network issues, conducting research to identify specific solutions and implement projects effectively.
  • Maintain current Cisco (CCNA) and Juniper (JNCIA) certifications, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development and expertise.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in network support and operations roles, with a deep understanding of LAN/WAN environments.
  • Proficiency with monitoring tools for network performance and reliability.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS.
  • Excellent team player with the ability to collaborate effectively and communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new products and network technologies quickly, often without formalized training.
  • Certifications: Cisco (CCNA), Juniper (JNCIA).

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: 12 Months
  • Location: Lisbon, Portugal (3 days a week on-site)
  • Day Rate: €150PD - €175PD
  • Shift work:
    • Mornings: 07:00 - 16:00 
    • Mids: 15:00 - 12:00PM
    • Night: 11:00 - 08:00 (1 SHIFT PER Month)
