As a Network Security & Backup Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in providing all-encompassing support, including BAU activities, monitoring, firmware upgrades, and fault finding. This is not your typical service desk role – we're looking for someone who is proactive, hands-on, and eager to dive into the intricacies of network security and backup solutions.
Responsibilities Include:
- Fixing backup jobs and setting up new backups.
- Day-to-day management of backup solutions, including Dell Networker and Veeam.
- Performing routine tasks such as monitoring and firmware upgrades.
Requirements:
- Experience with backup solutions is ideal, but they are willing to train candidates who have a strong understanding and a willingness to learn.
- Proficiency in fault finding on Palo Alto devices is essential.
- Interest in routing and switching skills is a plus.
- While we're not strict on certifications, a Palo Alto certification would be advantageous.
Location:
- Offices are centrally located in either York or Staines, and we require candidates to be on-site at least twice a week. This ensures collaboration and fosters a strong team environment.
