Are you a skilled Network Systems Engineer with a passion for cutting-edge technology and leadership?
Join our client's team where you'll be at the forefront of implementation, administration, maintenance, and level 3 issue resolution. Your role will encompass advanced troubleshooting for server, desktop, and network issues, assisting with hardware/software upgrades, new infrastructure builds, business continuity services, and some project management.
On offer is a unique opportunity to work with the latest in Azure, O365, and legacy on-premise server solutions while leading a team of system engineers through complex projects. Your responsibilities will include overseeing seamless integration of Windows server technologies, strategic delegation, fostering collaboration, and mentoring team members. Strong communication skills and adaptability to evolving cloud technologies are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server OS (2016/2019/2022)
- Manage VMware and Hyper-V environments
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server, RDP Server, and 365
- Oversee Azure Entra ID, Azure Servers, and Microsoft 365 admin center
- Install and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Client OS (10/11)
- Set up and manage enterprise SANs (HP, Synology, Nimble, EMC, etc.)
- Implement data backup and recovery solutions (Acronis, Datto, etc.)
- Set up and administer enterprise wireless networks
- Support and troubleshoot layer 2/3 switching and UTM firewalls (Cisco Meraki, Sophos, Sonicwall, etc.)
Must-Have Skills:
- Continuous professional development to stay current with emerging technologies
- Strong technical expertise in relevant IT areas
- Effective documentation of processes and procedures
- Proficiency in using PSA tools for entering time, notes, and expenses
- Participation in staff meetings and completion of assigned training materials
