Senior Data Analyst

Hamilton Barnes is representing a leading British multinational retailer company who are looking to hire a Senior Data Analyst to drive the execution of multiple queries for the product team related top data analytics.

Join our clients team as a Senior Data Analyst on a 6-month contract basis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leveraging data to extract valuable insights, optimize business processes, and drive strategic initiatives. This position requires onsite presence in London at least 2 days per week

Responsibilities:

• Utilize expertise in data virtualization tools, particularly PowerBI, to develop insightful visualizations and reports.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Azure technologies to extract, transform, and load data efficiently.
• Apply strong knowledge of Data Analytics within the UK Retail sector to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.
• Lead the development and implementation of data models, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• Conduct data cleansing, data mining, and data enrichment activities to maintain data quality and integrity.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data analytics capabilities and drive operational efficiency.

Skills/Must have:

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within the UK Retail industry.
• Strong proficiency in data virtualization tools, particularly PowerBI.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Azure technologies.
• Technical expertise in data modelling, data cleansing, data mining, and data manipulation.
• Proficiency with programming languages such as Python, with hands-on experience with PySpark.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Salary: 

• £425 per day
