We are partnered with a leading Mid-Atlantic technology consulting firm and Managed Services provider headquartered outside Philadelphia, is looking for a Sr. Data Center Engineer to join their team!

As the Sr. Data Center Engineer, you will be a key contributor delivering engagements with our clients to implement their private and hybrid cloud data center environments utilizing servers, storage, virtualization, orchestration/automation, high-availability, backup, and disaster recovery systems.  Additionally, you will be working with our clients to incorporate public cloud services from Microsoft, Amazon, and others.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, troubleshoot and support servers, storage, virtualization, orchestration/automation, high-availability, backup, and disaster recovery technologies
  • Implement, troubleshoot, and support iSCSI, fibre channel, and FCoE / NVME fabrics
  • Perform data migration and migration planning services
  • Provide data center performance and capacity analysis
  • Perform storage, replication, backup, and DR tests and POCs
  • Deliver customer training and knowledge transfer
  • Create Service Standards in design, documentation, configuration and implementation
  • Communicate regularly with the Service Delivery Manager on client satisfaction and review client initiatives
  • Provide accurate and on-time updates to team members, project managers, and management team
  • Continue to stay current in all aspects of the solutions within your area of expertise
  • Maintain required vendor certifications and continue to grow technical skill set    


Preferred Qualifications, Experience and Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience with Dell-EMC products including VxRail, Unity, PowerStore, PowerMax, PowerScale, RecoverPoint / RP4VMs, PowerFlex, Avamar, Networker, Data Domain, and PowerProtect Data Manager
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience with VMware products including vSphere, SRM, vRealize, vSAN, NSX and VMware Cloud Foundation
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience with iSCSI, fibre channel, and FCoE fabrics 
  • Must have experience with server platforms from Cisco, Dell, or HP
  • Prefer experience with other Hyperconverged, SAN, Backup, and Disaster Recovery technologies (Cohesity, Veeam, Cisco HyperFlex, Nutanix)
  • Prefer experience with public and hybrid cloud solutions, such as Microsoft, Amazon and VMware Cloud  
  • Must have technical expertise in deployment and troubleshooting data center technology related issues through data collection and analysis
  • Must have excellent communication, documentation, and customer facing skills
  • Ability to meet and exceed customer expectations for projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to provide training to customers
  • A proven track record of high quality solution implementations
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and communicate with other team members
  • Must have the ability to analyze existing and anticipated client requirements and promote consideration of companies’ solutions and services to meet the client’s requirements
  • A strong desire to learn other technologies and skills
  • Multiple Dell-EMC professional level certifications (EMCIE, EMCTA, Proven Professional)
  • Multiple VMware professional level certifications (VCP, VCAP or VCDX)
  • Energy, excitement, passion and desire to make an impact for the company and our customers
  • Required to lift ~ 40lb boxes and potentially going onsite at customer locations

Salary:

  • $150,000 - $160,000
